Every time I get the slightest sniff of fall, my heart and mind becomes full and excited. Orange and red leaves, wine with mulling spices, pumpkin spice lattes, the crisp chill in the air, and cozy clothes.
Fall offers a glimpse of a fresh start, productivity, and the of course, ‘I Paint in Heels,’ annual Holiday card release.
As I work through commissions, and draw and re-draw this holiday collection; I’ve found some time for some short strolls, dynamic views, and lattes.
I hope this fall season offers you the refresh and uplift you need to push through Q4 and saddle up for the next year.
Here are a few fall intentions I set for myself:
Find peace in the process — This is truly a challenge for me; I get so impatient with the journey that I sometimes miss the beauty in it
Schedule time for productivity, and take on tasks one chunk at a time — The Accidental Creative podcast keeps me in check. Routine and scheduling creative time gives you the push to “create on demand.”
Communicate, even when its uncomfortable
Give grace to myself and others
Commit to and manifest my heart’s desires
Pitch more of my work — the worst I can hear is no.
Make time to study and read to perfect my craft. — I recently received a certificate in Social Marketing to help me in my day job, but I’ve been looking into more things like this for my other work.
What are some of your Q4 intentions / goals?
